About Tee

So, what about Tee?

Close up head shot of Tee, my dirty blonde hair is down and around my face, I am smiling with my mouth closed and am wearing a black and white scarf loosely around my neck

I’m a mum, a lover and a loyal friend who is loosing her sight… And now her hearing! My name is Tee, for my own sanity and to help others I wanted to share this journey.

This blog is my way of doing this, as the name says, it’s your chance to ‘see my way’

This is not a disabled bitch blog, a factual account of sight loss, its all about me….

Where and when I can, I will include help along the way in the form of organisations, support groups or just places of interest.

Sight loss like many other disabilities is a taboo subject; Which is half of the problem, as a human race we learn through communication, be that reading, writing, talking, listening or simply observing.

Disability is the wrong word, it implies that I have a disadvantage to others, when in fact it just means that I have an alternative view.

This blog is here to allow you to laugh, cry, bitch, moan, and smile with me along the way and maybe just maybe get something from all of my babbling

I will also include many a fond tale of time with my guide dogs.  First I had Vicky, who is now enjoying her retirement, while Fizz takes over her role as my working guide dog. Obviously, they have gone (almost) everywhere I have gone and some of the tails they might be able to tell you would also be very interesting.
